Job Overview At Rialto Pacific llc., We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to lead our accounting team and oversee the organization's financial operations. This pivotal role involves managing a broad spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in corporate, governmental, and non-profit accounting environments, demonstrating strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities. As an Accounting Supervisor, you will play a key role in fostering accurate financial reporting, supporting internal controls such as SOX compliance, and mentoring junior staff to achieve operational excellence. Responsibilities Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closing processes. Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring proper processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and review account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities. Ensure compliance with SOX controls and other regulatory standards such as Securities Law and LIHTC regulations. Lead internal audits and coordinate external audit activities to verify financial data integrity. Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering professional growth through training on technical accounting concepts like accrual accounting, debits & credits, and financial report writing. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts to inform strategic decision-making. Maintain expertise in various accounting software platforms including Sage, Xero, and other financial management tools. Facilitate regulatory reporting requirements for governmental agencies or non-profit organizations. Monitor cash flow analysis and bank reconciliations to optimize liquidity management. Stay current with evolving financial regulations such as Wills, Trusts & Estate Law to ensure compliance across relevant transactions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles with exposure to corporate accounting, governmental accounting, or non-profit sectors. Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms; experience with financial software integration is advantageous. Strong understanding of GAAP principles alongside knowledge of SOX compliance frameworks. Expertise in technical accounting areas including securities law considerations and estate law as applicable. Proven ability to lead teams effectively through mentoring while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Excellent analytical skills with the capacity for financial report interpretation and detailed account reconciliation. Familiarity with budgeting processes, forecasting techniques, and financial management strategies. Experience with audit procedures including internal controls testing and external audits related to public or private entities.
