Job Description
Overview NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham. This position is on site at our Acton Road office and is not a remote position. NaphCare collaborates with correctional facilities to provide proactive, patient-focused healthcare. Be part of an excellent team of professionals who are revolutionizing correctional healthcare. Responsibilities Analyzes and processes account payable in a timely manner. Codes invoices and check requests with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system. Investigates and resolve problems associated with the processing of invoices and follow up on pending issues. Prepares check requests, wire transfers, and ACH transactions for payment. Reconciles vendor statements on a monthly basis researching any discrepancies. Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department. Qualifications Associate's degree in Business or Accounting preferred with two years' experience in an accounts payable role. Prefer a candidate with minimum of 2 year associates degree or 5+ years of accounting experience Knowledge of general ledger accounts and experience working with multiple locations and entities Prefer a candidate with experience in cost accounting, but not required Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and PDFs. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines. •This is not a remote position. This position reports to the Corporate Headquarters, Monday - Friday, during normal business hours.
