Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description Fruge Companies is seeking a diligent account payables specialist who will manage accounts payable duties to join our department. The ideal candidate is very organized, professional, great communication skills, energetic, has great attention to detail, and desires to contribute their skills for the growth of the company.

Responsibilities:

Prepares, posts, verifies, and records vendor payments and transactions related to accounts payable. Creates invoices according to company practices. Maintains and updates vendor files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions. Research vendor discrepancies and credits with purchasing department. Reconcile business accounts monthly. Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month. Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts payables as needed. Relays changes of information to appropriate employees. Coding credit card statements. Cross-training for Accounts Receivable Inventory management Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting preferred but not required 3+ years' experience in accounting; specifically with closing financials, reconciling balance sheets and bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, inter-company transactions, payroll for 50+ employees, and inventory management Networking and database management skills preferred Experience with QuickBooks required; experience with Netyield, Whiskey Systems, Quickbase, and Crystal Reports a plus.
