Accounts Receivable Associate

Accounts Receivable Associate Edwardsville, IL Job Description The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for accurately entering and maintaining receivable data within AS400, while supporting ad hoc AR tasks to ensure timely and accurate billing, cash application, and reporting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable with high-volume data entry and enjoys supporting a fast-paced accounting team. Responsibilities Accurately key customer invoices, payments, credits, and adjustments into AS400. Perform routine maintenance of records, ensuring data integrity and completeness. Support ad hoc accounts receivable activities, including billing support, cash application assistance, and reporting requests. Assist with invoice corrections, account reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution as needed. Partner with internal teams such as Accounting, Customer Service, and Operations to support AR workflows. Follow established procedures and controls to ensure compliance and accuracy. Assist with additional accounting or administrative tasks during peak periods or special projects. Essential Skills 1+ years of accounts receivable, accounting support, or high-volume data entry experience. Experience working in AS400 (IBM i) is strongly preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and quality. Basic understanding of accounts receivable processes. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team. Work Environment The work environment is in-office from Monday to Friday at the corporate headquarters. This is a great opportunity for someone to support an ERP implementation as the company moves into SAP. The initial contract is for three months, with the potential for additional project work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Edwardsville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
