Accounting Reports to: Controller / Assistant Controller Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist Position Summary The A/R Specialist is responsible for accurately posting customer payments, resolving account discrepancies, preparing account adjustments, and maintaining current Accounts Receivable. This role supports internal teams and customers while ensuring professional and confidential service. Key Responsibilities of the
A/R Specialist:
Post customer payments and process A/R transactions Prepare bank deposits and manage petty cash Research and resolve account discrepancies Prepare customer account adjustments and refunds Handle customer inquiries and provide necessary documentation Communicate with internal staff regarding overdue accounts Process credit card transactions and use multiple billing platforms Assist with month-end, year-end, audits, and tax-related tasks Perform additional duties as needed Minimum Qualifications for the
A/R Specialist:
High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of collections experience required 3+ years of Microsoft Excel experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Team-oriented with strong decision-making skills Willingness to submit to a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test Preferred Qualifications Experience with online/third-party billing systems preferred Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Extensive computer and phone use Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs Core Competencies Clear, professional communication Initiative and willingness to take on responsibilities Solid job knowledge and ability to learn new skills Accuracy, quality focus, and continuous improvement Teamwork, collaboration, and positive contribution to department goals Additional Details How To Identify Potential Job Scams
