Accounts Receivable Specialist at Growing Manufacturing Firm Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage and oversee accounts receivable functions. This role involves posting payments, processing invoices, resolving past due payments, and maintaining key performance indicators related to accounts receivable. Responsibilities Post payments received daily to the appropriate customer account. Process completed delivery notes for invoicing in SAP and submit completed invoices to customers via their preferred delivery method. Collaborate with customers and internal departments such as Sales, Quality, Shipping, and Customer Service to resolve past due payments. Prepare and update the AR Aging report weekly by customer and present it to the Accounting Supervisor and CFO for review. Prepare and process credit/debit notes in SAP to resolve issues such as pricing, quality, and quantity, and communicate these to customers. Prepare monthly statements and email them to customers for review. Essential Skills 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably with accounts receivable. Proficiency with SAP or related systems and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP. High School Diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Several years of SAP experience. Experience in the manufacturing or heavy machinery industry. Experience managing other aspects within accounting. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude and responsiveness. Ability to manage workload efficiently and support teammates. Work Environment The position is 100% onsite, operating Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with flexibility for early start or leave by up to 60 minutes. The work environment is a modern and professional office setting, with engagement across departments such as Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations. The noise level is moderate, and the role requires occasional presence on the shop floor of a traditional engineering facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
