The Accounts Receivable System Specialist is an entry-level position designed to build foundational skills in reporting, financial systems, billing processes and workflow operations with the Revenue Cycle department. This role provides essential support to the analyst positions and is structured to prepare the employee for future advancement. The position performs routine tasks, learns system functions and contributes to operational accuracy while receiving hands-on training for senior team members. Supports implementations and optimizations within Revenue Cycle to include project scheduling, task management, technical writing and documentation of workflows.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate routine reports and distribute according to schedule. Assist with collecting and organizing data needed by management and analyst teams Assist with maintaining host system tables and parameters to ensure optimal workflow including work queue admin, encounter holds and work-item criteria and assignment rules. Participate in system testing, including testing upgrade changes within demonstrated skill level. Support troubleshooting by gathering information, documenting issues and escalating to senior staff as appropriate. Prepare and successfully utilize AR Reporting tools including DA2, Business Unit Analytics, Wellington, Claim Scrubber and Dashboard systems. Ability to analyze the data to identify trends and opportunity for improved department performance Actively participate in training sessions for staff to enhance technical skills and to build competency in reporting tools, billing applications, and financial systems. Provide backup support to analyst positions on an as-needed basis and within the scope of demonstrated skill level. Demonstrate commitment to learning, development, and growth toward a career path in analytics or system specialization. Knowledgeable of Agency outsourcing assignments and workflow set up within host. Ensure integrity of system according to departmental needs.REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Associate's degree preferred Experienc e: Patient Accounting/Revenue Cycle experience and proficiency inORACLE/CERNER
Millennium HIS preferred, 1 to 3 years of experience in financial systems, billing or related rolesAdditional Information What We Offer:
