Ace Hardware Sales Associate

Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Ace Hardware Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail sales and customer service, with the ability to engage customers effectively and drive sales through exceptional communication skills. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while ensuring that store operations run smoothly. Duties Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Demonstrate products to customers, showcasing features and benefits to enhance their shopping experience. Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring product availability. Assist with unloading incoming trucks and put away merchandise. Uphold store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting atmosphere for shoppers. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is essential; hardware store experience is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. Basic math skills for handling transactions and performing retail math calculations. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures. A proactive approach to merchandising and stocking responsibilities is required.
