Activities Aide

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Activities Aide to join our dedicated team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for residents in an assisted living or long-term care environment. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead diverse recreational activities that promote socialization, cognitive engagement, and physical activity for residents. Assist with the development of activity calendars that align with residents' interests, abilities, and care plans. Foster a warm, inclusive environment by encouraging participation and building meaningful relationships with residents. Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities support individual care goals, including memory care and dementia-specific programming. Help coordinate special events, outings, and therapeutic programs such as recreational therapy sessions. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) when needed, including mobility assistance and personal engagement. Maintain accurate records of participation, resident feedback, and activity outcomes to inform ongoing programming. Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or long-term care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, dementia care practices, and senior care principles. Strong skills in event planning, recreational therapy, and working with individuals with disabilities or aging issues. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage residents and collaborate with team members. CPR/First Aid Certified Ability to manage schedules efficiently while adapting activities to meet changing resident needs. Compassionate caregiving attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life through engaging activities. Experience assisting residents with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, or mobility is a plus. Pay:

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
