Job Description

•Schedule would be: Fridays and Saturdays and alternating Thursdays & Sundays. (3 days total - 8am-5pm)•Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team in creating vibrant, engaging, and meaningful experiences for our residents. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for seniors by planning and facilitating diverse recreational activities tailored to individual interests and needs. Your enthusiasm and creativity will foster a warm, inclusive environment where residents feel valued, connected, and inspired to participate actively in their community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact through compassionate caregiving and dynamic programming. Duties Develop, organize, and lead engaging activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical well-being among residents Coordinate with staff and family members to understand residents' preferences, abilities, and care requirements Assist with planning special events such as celebrations, outings, or themed programs to enrich residents' daily lives Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility assistance and participation encouragement Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure a balanced variety of programs throughout the week Foster an inclusive environment by working with individuals with disabilities, dementia, or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia Maintain accurate records of participation, resident feedback, and activity outcomes to inform ongoing program improvements Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and senior care best practices Strong event planning skills with the ability to create engaging recreational therapy programs Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with residents, families, and team members Experience working with individuals with disabilities or aging issues is highly desirable Ability to assist residents with ADLs and support their physical needs compassionately Proven schedule management skills to coordinate multiple activities seamlessly while maintaining flexibility A caring attitude combined with patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life Join our Family-Owned and Operated Senior Living team, while making a difference every day!
