Activities Assistant

Beechwood Home is a 5-Star not-for-profit nursing facility located in Hyde Park. We specialize in providing high quality long-term care for neurological residents. Our 80 residents participate in therapeutic and recreational activities that assist in their optimal functioning. The primary purpose of this position is to assist with facility-wide, therapeutic recreational activities for the residents of Beechwood. Our staff provides recreational and leisure activities to meet the needs of our residents as well as the standards of the Ohio Department of Health.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Assist the Activities Manager with facility-wide events for our residents. Assist in planning the monthly activity calendar which meets ODH standards and includes activities and events provided by other disciplines and volunteers as well as those of the Activities Department.

Lead activities as assigned:

Small / large groups; one-on-one activities; and outings. Complete documentation related to activities performed with residents as needed to support the residents' activities and leisure plans of care as needed. Promote a warm and engaging atmosphere that prompts residents to participate in programs that are offered. Must have a high energy level and a positive outlook.

Qualifications and Skills:

STNA certification preferred CTRS preferred

Pay:

From $19.00 per hour
