Activities Assistant

Schoellkopf Health Center is seeking an energetic and passionate Activities Assistant for our 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility. Main function is to assist the Activities Director in the successful running of the activity calendar and organizing the activity department. Essential functions of the Activities Assistant is to provide a variety of hands on activities in large and small group programs and one on one, in and outside the facility. Transport to and from activity programs. Maintain community involvement for residents, driving a wheelchair van. Previous experience with the geriatric population preferred. Ability to communicate with and engage well with the elderly a plus. Documentation requirements not limited to but will include MDS, progress notes, initial assessments and care plans. Must be flexible , rotating weekends, evenings and holidays required.
