This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with seniors, creating engaging activities, and building meaningful relationships with residents. We are willing to train the right candidate and provide the required 36-hour Activity Director Certification Course at no cost to the employee. Position Overview The Activity Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading recreational and social activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This role helps create a positive, engaging, and supportive environment while encouraging resident participation and emotional well-being. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, outgoing, and passionate about enriching the lives of others. Compensation $17.00/hour while completing the required 36-hour Activity Director Course Course provided free of charge by the facility Increase to $18.00/hour upon successful completion of certification Responsibilities Plan and coordinate daily activity programs for residents Lead group activities, games, events, and outings Encourage resident participation and social engagement Develop activity calendars and special events Maintain activity documentation and resident participation records Work closely with nursing staff and department leaders to support resident needs Create a fun, welcoming, and positive atmosphere throughout the facility Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Positive attitude and strong communication skills Compassion for seniors and long-term care residents Ability to lead groups and build relationships with residents and families Organized, dependable, and self-motivated Previous activity experience preferred, but not required Willingness to complete the required 36-hour Activity Director Certification Course Benefits BCBS Group Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off 401(k) Join Our Team If you are looking for a career where you can bring energy, creativity, and compassion to residents each day, we encourage you to apply.
