Responsibilities Plan, organize, and execute diverse recreational programs and events that cater to residents' preferences and abilities, including arts and crafts, games, and special celebrations Collaborate with staff to assess residents' interests, needs, and limitations to develop personalized activity plans Manage activity schedules efficiently to maximize engagement opportunities while coordinating with other departments for seamless program delivery Foster a positive social environment by encouraging participation and building meaningful relationships with residents Assist in office duties and coverage when manager is out. Maintain accurate records of activities provided, resident participation, and feedback to continually improve programming Cooking for residents for special events Qualifications Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities or nursing homes; experience in long-term care or home & community care is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with residents of varying cognitive levels and backgrounds Skilled in schedule management to balance multiple activities while maintaining flexibility for resident needs This role offers the chance to bring joy and purpose into the lives of seniors through innovative programming.
