Activity Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Activities Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for residents in our long-term care facility, assisted living community, or nursing home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of aging issues and a commitment to providing exceptional care. Duties Assist with coordinating events, outings, and recreational activities tailored to the interests of residents. Collaborate with staff members to ensure activities are integrated into the overall care plan for each resident. Maintain accurate records of participation in activities and evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing resident engagement. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and community partners to enhance program offerings. Qualifications Experience in long-term care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes is preferred. Strong skills in schedule management to effectively coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. Knowledge of aging issues counseling and the ability to address the unique needs of elderly individuals. Excellent event planning skills with a creative approach to engaging residents. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and families while demonstrating compassion and understanding. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in program development and implementation.
