Summary We are seeking an Activities Director to join our team at Sunny View Care Center. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities and programs. You will play a vital part in creating a vibrant community atmosphere that promotes social interaction and personal growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging recreational programs tailored to the interests and needs of residents. Coordinate events and activities that foster community involvement and enhance social connections. Collaborate with staff to ensure activities align with residents' health and wellness goals. Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make adjustments based on resident feedback. Provide support and guidance to residents participating in activities, ensuring a safe environment. Maintain records of participation and outcomes for all activities organized. Requirements Experience in recreational therapy or related field preferred. Strong background in caregiving, particularly with individuals in assisted living or memory care settings. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and staff. Proven ability in event planning and organizing community activities. Understanding of the unique needs of individuals with disabilities is a plus.
