Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The Adjunct Information Technology Networking Instructor is responsible for delivering curriculum with an emphasis on hands-on learning and practical application. The instructor will teach topics such as networking, cybersecurity, Microsoft Windows Server, cloud-based technologies, hardware and software support, and IT project management. The successful candidate will have relevant industry experience and a demonstrated interest in guiding and mentoring students preparing for careers in the IT field. Classes may be in-seat or hybrid formats. This role teaches both introductory & intermediate courses in IT. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, or a closely related field from an accredited university. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, cloud-based technologies, and managing routers & switches along with their real- world applications. Strong presentation skills, the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and faculty and commitment to student learning and development. Three years of work-related experience within the IT industry.Preferred Qualifications Applicable IT certifications:

A+, Network+, or Security+ oCisco:
CCNA or CCST oAWS :
Certified Cloud Practitioner o AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Two years of prior teaching, training, or technical mentoring experience, preferably at the community college or university level.Virtualization & Infrastructure:
o Proficiency in VMWare Workstation, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms o Experience in designing or managing virtualized network environments.Other Information Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach courses during the hours and locations outlined for the course. Grade homework, quizzes, tests, final exams, and student labs. Document grades in Learning Management System (Moodle) and perform final outcomes assessment with course leader. Create course materials, assignments, assessments, and laboratory exercises. Continually update course content to reflect current industry trends and emerging technologies. Work comfortably with a diverse student population, including dual-enrolled high school students, traditional college students, and nontraditional college students. Utilize a variety of student engagement strategies in the classroom to ensure active student participation. Be accessible to students and respond timely to their inquiries. Grade assignments and course(s) in accordance with the College's Guidelines/timelines. Able to use computer technology including presentation software and the course management platform (Moodle). Work cooperatively with course-lead and other faculty. Become familiar with rules, regulations, administrative practices, guidelines and policies of the College. Maintain regular office hours for student consultations and mentoring. The duties listed in this job description are not all-inclusive, but a list of the major responsibilities. The visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field vision. The employee is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach; performs tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc. 4. The conditions the employee will be subject to in this position. The employee is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the employee to shout to be heard above ambient noise level.
