Minimum Qualifications The Interior Design program at Park University is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach courses in areas such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Revit/BIM, and Commercial Interior Design. Adjunct faculty typically teach 3-6 credit hours per semester depending on program needs and instructor availability. Courses are offered face-to-face on the Parkville Campus. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related design field. Professional experience in interior design, architecture, or a related design discipline. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Proficiency in industry software, such as: o AutoCAD o Revit Knowledge of presentation and visualization tools, such as: o Adobe Photoshop o Illustrator o InDesign Professional certifications such as: o NCIDQ Course Description AR382 - Drawing Systems I An introduction to the principles and operations of computer generated drawing with an emphasis on producing both 2D (floor plans, elevations, etc.) and 3D (orthographic) drawings using Auto

- Drawing Systems II Students expand their computer drawing skills, using the Building Information Modeling program Revit to produce construction documents and three-dimensional drawings and renderings. AR389 - Commercial Interiors In this studio course students apply the design process and space planning techniques to different types of commercial spaces with emphasis on sustainability, universal and barrier free design. AR393 - Lighting Fundamentals for Interior Design A study of the technical, aesthetic, and psychological aspects of natural and artificial lighting in regards to their application within interior environments.
