Job Description

Adjunct Outreach Instructor Lacombe Campus Job Announcement Northshore Technical Community College is accepting applications for a part time, unclassified adjunct instructor position domiciled through the Lacombe Campus. •This is a grant funded position. Should the grant funds no longer be available, and another funding source is not secured, then the position will be terminated.•Applications will be accepted until position is filled, with preference being given to those received on or before May 17, 2026. Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED; Ability to follow instructional plans and assist with delivering lessons; Ability to manage tasks and maintain accurate documentation; Ability to work with various student and community populations; Ability to travel (up to 200 miles) regionally and work occasional evenings/weekends for events; Valid driver's license and Commercial Driver's License (CDL-Class A). Ability to operate NTCC's Mobile STEM Lab vehicle; Basic computer and technology skills (email, projectors, digital tools, etc.).
Preferred:
Experience in education, community/STEM outreach, youth programming, and/or event coordination The Adjunct Outreach Instructor supports the Outreach Program Manager in coordinating and delivering outreach programs, instructional activities, and community engagement events. This role facilitates hands-on learning experiences, assists with event logistics, and provides instructional support to students and community participants to ensure high-quality outreach experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructional Support & Facilitation Lead or assist with hands-on instructional activities, demonstrations, workshops and STEM/educational learning experiences during outreach events using NTCC's Mobile Labs and campus resources Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons as determined by the Outreach Program Manager Ensure participants understand safety guidelines, procedures, and expectations Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Support equipment upkeep and routine maintenance as needed Program/Event Support Travel (up to 200 miles) regionally and possession of valid driver's licensing Assist with the development of engaging content, presentations, and hands-on learning experiences Provide input on new instructional ideas, outreach initiatives, and program content Help prepare outreach materials, instructional supplies, and equipment Support event setup, breakdown, registration, and participant engagement Assist in ensuring all activities run smoothly and follow established procedures Participate in required training and professional development Student & Community Engagement Provide guidance, encouragement, and instructional support to students and community participants Assist in directing guests, answering questions, and sharing program information Support special populations and refer participants to appropriate staff when needed Maintain a positive and respectful outreach environment College & Community Representation Represent the college professionally during school visits, workshops, community events, and career fairs Strengthen community partnerships through positive engagement, program promotion and communication Perform other related duties as assigned

Field travel will be required and may include standing for long periods of time at outreach events.
Work Environment:
The work environment will depend on the discipline being taught as the College strives to provide hands-on experience to students.
Work environments could include:
exposure to wet, humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat/cold; and moderate to loud noise levels.
