Position Summary:
Administrative Analyst is responsible for general clerical duties related to the daily operation of Arkansas Biosciences Institute (ABI). This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
General greeting of visitors to the main office as front-line representative of A-State ABI in person and on the phone. Contact researchers to accompany visitors to their respective labs/office areas. Direct phone calls from general public, other on-campus offices, private and state officials to ABI faculty and staff Extensive contact with a range of education levels and diverse individuals including principal investigators, undergraduate research assistants, PhD students, office staff, and off- campus service providers in order to provide information, clarification and communication. Maintain office supply inventory and reorder as necessary. Order lab supplies using the University purchasing card and prepare monthly statement report Create and process faculty and staff reimbursement requests through Banner requisitions Complete interdepartmental transfer forms (IDT) and route through proper channel Assist in preparing travel requests and reimbursement reports for faculty and students using the University's travel software (Concur). Compiles and maintains office administrative information and records of purchases. Coordinates ABI events and maintains conference and seminar rooms calendar Process departmental mail. Maintain copier and fax machine supplies, clear any paper jams, and call for service as needed. Assist with the ABI Outreach Program in tracking and collecting data. Prepare and maintain ABI affiliated faculty scrapbook of newspaper and other articles and assists the Program Director in preparing the annual state report for ABI Consortium Order hangtags and maintain visitor parking log Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of planning, research, and analysis techniques and procedures. Knowledge of department operations, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Ability to plan and execute systems and organizational analysis and feasibility studies. Excellent communication skills Experience working independently and as part of a team. Experience with Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat is required. Ability to organize and conduct meetings and workshops.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in public administration, general business, or a related field.
