SUMMARY:
Provide customer service, clerical support and financial management to the building staff, students, parents, athletic director, and community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strong communication skills The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Provide customer service; greet visitors, answer phones, assist callers with questions and give information or route calls to appropriate people. ? Provide clerical support for the building. This may include assisting parents and students, assisting with special projects, typing, data entry, preparing correspondence, filing, receiving/preparing mailings, assisting with the collection of fees, maintaining websites and copying. ? Support the athletic program by managing registration, payments and other paperwork. ? Manage building financials - this includes assisting teachers with purchase orders, making deposits, reconciling petty cash, communicating with our district business office, accepting payments from parents, entering payments into Alma, etc. ? Assist in morning substitute teacher check-in. ? Assist with the student attendance process and communicate with parents regarding student absences. ? Assist with monitoring students on lunch or daytime breaks and during time-out sessions. ? Perform other duties as assigned, including providing back-up coverage to other positions, assisting students in the health clinic and contacting parents/guardians as necessary. Clinic duties may include assisting students with minor injuries and illnesses, dispensing authorized medication, contact parents or emergency medical personnel if needed and keeping accurate records of care given.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Experience is preferred but may not be necessary for hiring.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS
Criminal background check required for hire. CPR and First Aid training preferred at hire; required two months after hire. Meds administration required two months after hire.

  • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with Google - Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar; financial software, publishing software.
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, etc.
