Job Description

Purpose Responsible for production reporting and payroll functions. Perform administrative duties as relates to the payroll and human resources departments, specifically to hourly team member payroll, leave, and data management. Key Responsibilities Process the facility's bi-weekly time and attendance for hourly team members for payroll Collaboration with plant leadership related to ensuring proper pay for team members Create, review, and maintain spreadsheets, databases, files, and records in compliance with company policies and/or federal and state laws, including verification of employment eligibility Serve as day-to-day contact for team members, customers, and visitors (in person and by phone) providing information involving benefits, policies, procedures and practices Administer the bid process to enable team member job placement Vacation relief for other clerical staff, where applicable Prepare internal and external reports, correspondence, presentations and other documents using Microsoft software Maintain familiarity with labor contract as appropriate Retrieval and distribution of facility mail Order and maintain stock of office supplies Book travel and reconcile associated expenses Support Employee Engagement programs and coordinate on-site and off-site events Onboard new Team Members on payroll-related topics Monitor attendance via call-in tracker and communicate concerns and/or patterns to leadership Facilitate team member product purchases Model Company core values Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Two (2) or more years of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position High school diploma or equivalent Excellent keyboard skills and 10-key by touch Ability to prioritize and work with speed and accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and prioritize competing projects or tasks. Effective listening, written and verbal communication skills; responsive, professional, and clear communicator Organized, self-motivated team player that fosters a positive work environment Honesty, integrity and efficiency Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality Preferred Qualifications Associates degree in business, accounting, industrial relations or related field Payroll processing knowledge About Roseburg Forest Products Founded in 1936, Roseburg Forest Products is a privately held company based in Springfield, Oregon.
