Note:
Anticipated work hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with one full day (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and reduced hours during the summer. Flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the department.

Job Summary:
This part-time position provides comprehensive office support to the director, faculty, instructors, and coordinators in the Nursing Department. Manages office equipment, supplies, and department purchases. Oversees the application process and compiles data for program acceptance. Assists in marketing and facilitating department programs and special events. Participates as an active member and/or officer of campus committees. Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Department Staff Support:
Provide office support to the director of nursing, full-time faculty, adjunct instructors, and nurse aide coordinator Create documents and systems to track student information, courses, and program requirements Proofread and copy daily work, edit correspondence, and request faculty textbooks Attend department meetings, take minutes, transcribe, and distribute to staff Create clinical schedules for nursing students and clinical sites Enter faculty/instructor workload into the CCCS system to meet established deadlines Input class schedules using Banner Review nursing account balances monthly for accuracy
Customer Service:
Answer telephones, take messages, and provide receptionist support Respond to student inquiries regarding classes, department programs, activities, fees, faculty schedules, and office locations Direct students and visitors to appropriate campus areas Assist faculty and staff from other departments as needed
Student Support:
Develop and maintain database of nursing applications and respond timely to applicants Maintain spreadsheet tracking nursing student requirements including course prerequisites, background checks, immunizations, and clinical site requirements Contact students regarding missing compliance documentation Maintain student files and send required documents to clinical sites Serve as co-leader of nursing clubs and keep meeting minutes Maintain records for nursing scholarship donors and account balances, including the nursing booster club Register pre-nursing and nursing students during registration periods and throughout the semester Verify student address, major, and advisor information and forward data to records office Assign advisors for the department
Office Management and Marketing:
Purchase office, lab, and classroom supplies Track program budget and reallocate P-cards for faculty as needed Interview, hire, and supervise student workers Prepare and maintain department website, marketing materials, and department documents Maintain office equipment
Residency Requirement:
Residents and non-residents of Colorado may apply and be hired into this position as the work will be performed primarily at a location that is within 30 miles of the state border.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience Only:
Two (2) years of clerical experience as listed above, performed as the primary function of the job. Daily interaction with students, faculty and staff require that this position have strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy is a must. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this position. Do not use "

OR Education and Experience:
College, university, or non-correspondence business school course work from an accredited institution in Business or related field may substitute for the clerical experience as listed above on a year for year basis.
