Job Description

Are you a polished professional who thrives in a busy environment? An established business in Farmville, NC, is seeking an Experienced Administrative Support Specialist. We are looking for a reliable individual who can balance high-level administrative tasks with a friendly, professional presence at our client's front desk/front office. Full-time, elect-to-hire, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Rate of pay:
starting at $16.00/hour
Job Duties:
Switchboard Operations:
Manage a multi-line switchboard with efficiency—routing calls, taking detailed messages, and ensuring callers are connected to the right department.
Reception:
Greet clients and visitors with a welcoming demeanor and maintain a tidy, professional reception area.
Data & Reporting:
Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for data entry, tracking, and report generation.
Document Processing:
Prepare correspondence and business documents using both modern and legacy software.
Mail & Logistics:
Coordinate appointments and manage incoming/outgoing mail. This position will be responsible for daily post office runs to ensure timely delivery and collection of office correspondence.
Office Organization:
Assist with general filing and daily office tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
Technical Qualifications Microsoft Office Suite:
High proficiency is required, specifically in Microsoft Excel, which is a primary tool for this office.
WordPerfect:
Knowledge of WordPerfect is a significant plus.
Phone Systems:
Previous experience operating a multi-line phone system or switchboard is essential.
Professionalism:
Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
