DESCRIPTION Job Purpose :
This position works collaboratively with the Pastor to move forward the mission and ministry of the parish by means of overseeing day-to-day operations, facilities management, office services for the parish community, parish finances, advancement, communications and human resources in a manner that is guided by the parish mission statement, is supportive to the Pastor and Head of School, and enables parish ministries to function effectively.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
(•): Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the Archdiocese, such that it can embarrass the Church or give rise to scandal. It is preferred that this employee be an active, participating Catholic in canonical good standing .
OPERATIONS DUTIES
(•). Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the parish.
HUMAN RESOURCES
(•). Oversee all aspects of human resources including but not limited to employee compensation, maintenance of personnel records, OSHA, E3, policies and procedures, on-going training, recruiting, hiring, evaluations, dismissals, etc., in collaboration with the Human Resources staff and contracted services (Lighthouse Strategic Solutions) FINANCE (•). In collaboration with contracted parish financial services ensure that the parish's financial policies and procedures comply with the Archdiocesan Internal Finance Control Guidelines document and generally accepted accounting procedures.
FACILITIES DUTIES
(•). Oversee and collaborate with the Facilities Director to ensure facility and grounds appearance, maintenance and improvements, including preventive maintenance, environment, safety, capital improvements and required repairs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field Minimum of five (5) years in management of operations Minimum of five (5) years of supervising staff required. Experience in working with vendors and outside contractors. Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms to support the financial operation of the parish. Ability to direct and empower staff with positive direction. Proficiency in software/platforms including Google Successfully complete standard Archdiocese Background Checks and Virtus training. Flexibility working the schedule outlined for the position on a regular basis. A "hands on" approach - willing to help as needed. An ability to communicate effectively with Nativity Parishioners, Parish Staff, Clergy, and members of the community at large, including maintaining a collegial atmosphere in and out of the Parish Offices and Church. Practicing Catholic preferred.
