Workplace Coordinator for Classical Music Publishing Company Carl Fischer LLC New York, NY Job Details Part-time $23 - $30 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Interpersonal skills Executive administrative support Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Recruiting Interviewing Full Job Description Carl Fischer Music is seeking a highly organized, part-time Workplace Coordinator to support office operations by maintaining workplace systems and communications, supporting executives administratively, as well as employees by maintaining a cohesive workplace environment. This position will report to the CEO and will also serve as the primary liaison for HR related needs, inquiries and assistance. Since its founding in 1872, Carl Fischer Music has had a deep and abiding commitment to sharing traditional and contemporary classical and educational music with the world. The Carl Fischer Music catalog is made up of a large and diverse selection of music, musical literature, and pedagogy from premiere composers of the past and present. Our publications cross multiple genres, from Concert to Solo Music, Classical and Choral while representing instrumental categories such as concert band, orchestra, piano, vocal, string, fretted instruments, brass, woodwind and percussion. Carl Fischer Music publications are available for purchase at over 2,000 retailers worldwide. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Manage recruitment process: post job descriptions, schedule and conduct preliminary interviews Facilitate administrative and logistical onboarding processes (set up work stations, computers, etc.) Manage internship program: conduct preliminary interview, help train, assign and monitor interns Manage communication with building management through Building Engine (such as building access keys, maintenance and repairs, coordinating the freight elevator, etc.) Manage office coordination, including security protocols, visitor access, and deliveries Make travel arrangements, audit and process expense reports Assist CEO and other managers with administrative or research projects Assist Controller with accounting tasks such as processing incoming checks and make bank deposits Keep track of and order office supplies Maintain office machines (printers, computers, kitchen appliances etc.) Maintain various light HR duties Plan and organize company events such as holiday parties and company picnics Maintain an organized and pleasant environment for the office
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required 3 years of related work experience Ability to work independently and efficiently Have a "no task too small" attitude Ability to prioritize work with strong multi-tasking, organizational and project-management skills Ability to work well with managers and staff alike Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced skills in MS Excel and Word Strong work ethic and attention to detail Knowledge of classical music or publishing a plus but not required Compensation commensurate with experience.
