Job Description

Brown & Brown is seeking an SR Administrative Coordinator to join our growing team in Carpinteria, CA! Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks including but not limited to answering and distributing all incoming calls, opening, sorting and distributing daily mail, and assisting with office supply inventory and ordering. Maintains a high level of confidentiality. Provide administrative support to the service and sales teams through ad hoc projects, conference room management, meeting and event preparation and catering, print jobs, and more. Creates a warm and professional first impression by welcoming guests and new teammates to the office and assisting them throughout their visit and/or onboarding, including but not limited to building access and office tours. Utilize tracking spreadsheet to update and monitor incoming checks. Manage maintenance of office space and equipment; partner with building maintenance, security, and management to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Provide administrative support to the insurance service team by ordering updated loss information, updating the agency management system(s), document filing, preparing pre-renewal packets and binders, and more. Provide administrative support to the leadership team through expense, calendar, and travel management. Build courteous and successful relationships with team and vendors to improve office efficiencies. Follow agency guidelines, policies and procedures. Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office. Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development. All other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Knowledge Required:
High School Diploma. Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher. Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc. Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)Preferred:
1+ year office experience. College Degree in a business-related field. Willingness to obtain insurance license(s). To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to perform 70% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and exert negligible force frequently; may be asked to exert up to 20 pounds of force periodically, as needed. Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor. Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone on a constant basis, 7-8 hour per day. Speech and hearing sufficient for phone and in-person communication. Physical efforts include repetitive small motor activity, grasping, verbally communicating detailed and important information to others quickly and accurately, stooping, reaching, standing, lifting light objects less than 10 pounds frequently, and climbing occasionally. Pay Range $24.00- $24.
