$24.00 - $31.25 per hour ($50,000 - $65,000 annually) Junipero Serra High School is a Catholic college preparatory for boys. Position Overview Junípero Serra High School seeks an organized, collaborative, and mission-driven professional to serve as the Administrative and Student Life Coordinator. This position plays a central role in supporting the Assistant Principal for Student Life while contributing to the efficient operation of the school's Administrative Office. The coordinator serves as a key resource for students, families, faculty, staff, and visitors by managing communications, coordinating events and programs, maintaining records, supporting attendance and student services processes, and providing operational and administrative support across multiple departments. This highly visible role requires exceptional organizational skills, professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to fostering a welcoming and service-oriented school environment. As a member of the Serra community, the coordinator supports and advances the mission of Catholic education and contributes to the development of young men of faith, character, leadership, and purpose. Essential Responsibilities Student Life Operations
  • Coordinate Student Life communications, including weekly newsletters, daily announcements, and student-facing communications.
  • Maintain Student Life calendars and assist with scheduling and event planning.
  • Process purchase orders, reimbursement requests, invoices, and budget-related documentation.
  • Maintain records for student awards, leadership programs, volunteer compliance, and student recognition initiatives.
  • Support Mission & Brotherhood programs, leadership activities, and summer programs.
  • Collaborate with students, parents, faculty, and staff to support Student Life initiatives. Event & Program Coordination
  • Coordinate logistics for assemblies, dances, orientation programs, major athletic events, and student activities.
  • Manage facilities requests, work orders, vendor communications, food orders, and event materials.
  • Support special events, guest speakers, recognition ceremonies, and community-building programs.
  • Assist with summer programs and school-sponsored events as assigned. Student Services Support
  • Support the Dean of Students with administrative processes, including parking permits, locker assignments, and student records.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of confidential disciplinary documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases related to student participation and engagement.
  • Support student attendance processes and related administrative functions. Athletics & Campus Ministry Support
  • Assist Athletics with Senior Days, Signing Days, Booster Club administration, awards, and event logistics.
  • Process certificates of insurance and related documentation.
  • Support Campus Ministry through retreat logistics, correspondence, and program records.
  • Assist with Kairos and other ministry-related administrative functions. Administrative Office Operations
  • Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for students, families, visitors, volunteers, and vendors.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage attendance-related processes, including late arrivals, early dismissals, and attendance records.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, certificates, forms, and presentation materials.
  • Provide administrative support assigned by the principal or his designation.
  • Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualification Required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative, operations, or office management experience.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and database management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building positive relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Preferred
  • Experience working in an educational setting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with student information systems and school operations.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to move throughout campus and support school events as needed.
