Job Description
Position Summary Delta Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Relief House Supervisor (RN) to oversee hospital operations during assigned shifts. This leadership role is responsible for coordinating nursing services, managing bed assignments and staffing mix, and ensuring high-quality patient care across all departments. The Relief House Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining hospital-wide operations, serving as a liaison between departments, and stepping in as the administrative representative in the absence of senior leadership. This position supports patient care delivery for all age groups while promoting a safe, efficient, and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Provide shift-based supervision of nursing care across all units in accordance with hospital policies and standardsLead and support nursing staff by offering guidance on clinical practices and professional responsibilitiesCoordinate staffing levels, including float personnel, to meet patient care needs and maintain fair workload distributionManage bed control, including assignments and census oversight, to ensure optimal patient flowMonitor compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirementsCollaborate with clinical managers and other departments to ensure continuity and quality of careServe as a liaison between administration, staff, and external agenciesConduct hospital rounds to assess patient care quality, safety, and operational efficiencyRespond to and resolve issues involving patients, staff, or visitors during the shiftOversee safe medication administration practices, including coordination with pharmacy servicesAssist physicians in determining admission appropriateness using established clinical guidelinesMaintain accurate daily bed counts within the State EMS Resource SystemParticipate in House Supervisor meetings or review and acknowledge meeting minutes Minimum Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program (BSN preferred)Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of ColoradoMinimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experiencePrior leadership or supervisory experience preferredCurrent BLS certification (required upon hire) Certifications (Required Within Specified Timeframes)
ACLS, PALS
(or EPNC), and NRP within 6 months of hireTNCC preferred within 1 yearCCRN certification preferred Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSound judgment and conflict resolution skillsCommitment to quality patient care and regulatory complianceSimilar remote jobs
