Job Description
Open Door Ministries exists to provide practical help and hope to people in urban Denver who are homeless or low income. Our primary objective is to move people toward self-sufficiency by helping change the circumstances and life patterns that have held them captive to poverty and addictions. Through 18 distinct programs,we focus on tangible needs like food, shelter, access to education and employment training, as well as intangible needs such as friendship, hope, and Christian spiritual guidance. $53,495- $76,081/year Job Purpose The Learning Center Administrative Coordinator will work closely with the Learning Center Director to ensure the administrative and operational needs of the center are being met with accuracy and efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain computerized systems for Learning Center record keeping (staff & students)
- Maintain student files, communicate missing or outdated items
- Assist Directors with parent communication and administrative tasks
- Assist Director with State Licensing reports and requirements
- Provide assistance in Learning Center classrooms as needed to meet adult/student ratios
- Participate in transportation of students in 15 passenger vans as needed
- Adaptable and willing to assist with additional tasks in Learning Center as required
- Update our preschool/school age classrooms to attract more families.
- Substitute/assist with preparing meals for students when necessary
- Support annual file audit
- upload new student enrollment packets into Brightwheel
- upload completed student paperwork into Brightwheel
- Dispose of student files per licensing regulations
- ODM Monthly Staff Meeting
- Regular Meetings with Supervisors
- ODF or one of our Community Churches (24 times in the first year of employment)
FINANCIAL
- Denver Preschool Program
- submit attendance verification monthly
- CCAP
- support and submit monthly manual claims and track student eligibility forms
- UPK
- support and submit quarterly expenditure reports
- Assist with food program paperwork and submit monthly food program claim
- in coordination with Director and kitchen cook
MINISTRY REPORTS & ANNUAL REPORTS
- Compile stats for monthly ministry reports with Director
- Compile stats and reports for annual report with Director
COMMUNICATIONS
- Parent communications (in person, email or phone)
- Answer Learning Center phones
- Communication with directors regarding admin concerns Other duties as assigned and required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google apps preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Office experience preferred
- Adaptable to licensing and billing rule changes Intangibles
- Lead in being a heartfelt team member of the Open Door Ministries staff
- Show evidence of a daily walk with Christ
- Show respect for the leadership and members of Open Door Fellowship
- Cover those in your area of leadership with prayer Work Environment and Physical Demands
- The work environment is both indoor and outdoor. Outdoor activities can be in extreme weather conditions such as rain, snow or high temperatures
- This job involves sitting, standing, walking, and running
- Must be able to lift children/equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and utilize child-sized furniture or sit on the floor as appropriate.
