Schedule:
Approximately 30 hours/week (Monday-Friday, daytime hours preferred)
Compensation:
$20-$26/hour, based on experience and qualifications About Improv Playhouse Improv Playhouse is an award-winning performing arts and education organization based in Libertyville, Illinois. Since 2000, we have been committed to our mission to Entertain, Educate, and Elevate through youth and adult training, camps, live productions, corporate programs, and community outreach. We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and personable Administrative Coordinator to help support daily operations and serve as a key point of contact for our students, families, instructors, and clients. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys structure, communication, customer service, and being the steady operational center of a fast-moving creative organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact via phone, email, and in-person communication
  • Manage daily office operations and administrative workflows
  • Assist with class registrations, enrollments, and customer inquiries
  • Coordinate schedules, calendars, and internal communications
  • Support invoicing, billing, and bookkeeping tasks (including QuickBooks)
  • Maintain student/client records and organizational databases
  • Assist with box office, ticketing, and event logistics
  • Prepare documents, forms, and organizational reports
  • Help maintain smooth communication between staff, instructors, and leadership
  • Provide general operational support for programs, productions, and special events Qualifications
  • Strong administrative and organizational experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-service oriented
  • High attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable multitasking in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Canva, or Constant Contact is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team Ideal Candidate You are:
