Assistant Supervisor Special Needs Unlimited - 3.0 Baton Rouge, LA Job Details Part-time $12 - $16 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Working with individuals with disabilities Multilingual High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Direct support Time management Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Supervisor to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of home and community based services to individuals with disabilities who qualify for waiver programs. You will ensure that client needs are met through personalized care plans while adhering to all applicable state and federal regulations. This role will include assisting the Field Supervisor, the Lead Supervisor and Direct Support Professionals while overseeing the development, implementation, and facilitation of services for assigned individuals. Your energetic approach and leadership skills will help create a positive environment, and maintain a good working atmosphere. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of individuals' needs and develop, review, and update individualized care plans. Review Service requests, authorize appropriate services within waiver guidelines, and coordinate with service providers. Support employee orientation, training, and development to foster a knowledgeable team Maintain a thorough understanding of waiver programs, including eligibility, services, and funding limitations. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including documentation, data collection, and reporting. Assist Field Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, Administrator and DSPs (Direct Support Professional) Assist in Supervise staffing and scheduling to ensure efficient service delivery and full shift coverage. Attend in-house and community meetings and conduct weekly phone calls with individuals. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and procedures Assist that all shifts are covered and adequately staffed. Assist and ensure all Direct Support Professionals are properly trained. Provide direct care services when backup staff are unavailable. Observe individuals, review data, and adjust care programs as needed. Ensure consistency across programs and services Oversee medication management and assist with appointments and transportation as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by Special Needs Administrator. Experience Proven supervisory or assistant supervisor experience Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team Excellent communication skills; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Familiarity with LASRS system and cash handling Demonstrated ability in assisting in employee training & development, and team management Organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently through effective time management skills Education High School Diploma or GED (required) Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience DSP training Medication Administration Training Join us as an Assistant Supervisor where your leadership will inspire teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences while driving success.
