EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION

Job Duties:
The incumbent must have basic/intermediate computer skills, and will work in various electronic health record systems to serve the clients. The position may require travel outside of the employee's domicile parish to perform duties to support operations in the region. Performs clerical duties primarily in the
TANGIPAHOA
Parish Health Unit(s) within the Office of Public Health/Region 9 but may also be assigned to work in other parish health units within the region. This is a fast-paced and multi-functional position that performs administrative support and clerical functions associated with the delivery of personal health services including but not limited to Reproductive Health, Immunizations, Tuberculosis (TB), Women, Infant and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC), Children's Special Health Services (CSHS), Genetics and Vital Records. Responsible for eligibility screening and insurance verification, fee collection, as well as learning, using and maintaining knowledge of all electronic health record systems. Perform administrative support duties such as but not limited to working the front desk, answering/addressing telephone and front desk inquires, scheduling appointments, making appointment reminder calls, and filing medical records. Respond to public health emergencies in a designated role at a specified site including but not limited to a Medical Needs Shelter or a Point of Dispensing site. Participation in emergency preparedness drills and activities are required.
