Job Description

Tax Administrator - CPA Firm Fernandes & Charest, P.C. - Westport, MA Full-time position with flex hours. Fernandes & Charest, P.C. is a certified public accounting firm located in Westport, Massachusetts, that is seeking a full-time Tax Administrator to support our team and clients. Duties and responsibilities include:
Maintain and track workflows and due dates for numerous tax projects to ensure timely completion Reconcile reports and data to enterprise system reports Create various department reports from enterprise system Organize client tax documents for assembly into tax packages Organize and update relevant client data using database applications Scan client tax forms to software Coordinate client signatures, assemble and filing of tax returns and related filings Process and mail various tax documents to clients Create and update multiple department calendars Organize and track client filing requirements Arrange and participate in tax department meetings and organize department project activities Administrative support tasks: Administrative support at the executive level for our firm's Partners and Managers, including calendars, scheduling meetings and conference calls, and correspondence Telephone support, answering, and directing all incoming calls Reception support, meeting and greeting visitors, vendors, couriers, and clients Administrative tasks such as typing, filing, faxing, copying and mail distribution
Qualifications:
Must be able to learn, use, and be comfortable with multiple software programs Must be able to follow firm's policies and procedures Must be highly organized and able to multi-task Must be a team player, willing to help, and have a positive attitude Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Must have excellent personal social skills in a busy, deadline driven office Prior experience in a tax department in an administrative capacity, preferred History of reliability in the performance of administrative support functions Software skills: Microsoft Office Suite, CCH Tax, and Prosystems Tax Suite Other benefits include: 401(k) match, annual bonus, medical, and dental insurance. $22.00 - $33.00 per hour
