Job Description

Cook Funeral & Cremation Services is seeking a compassionate, highly organized, and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Administrative Office / Guest Experience Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values meaningful client interactions, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service during important life moments. About the Role This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming, supportive experience for families and guests. You'll manage a variety of administrative and communication tasks while ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and empathy in every interaction. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist guests in person, by phone, and in writing with professionalism and compassion Manage multi-line phone systems and respond to inquiries promptly Coordinate and maintain company calendars and scheduling Prepare, review, and maintain accurate client files and documentation Proofread and edit client-facing materials for accuracy, grammar, and style consistency Assist in producing marketing materials using templates Process legal and administrative documents with a high degree of accuracy Provide timely and sensitive support to client needs and concerns What We're Looking For A genuine passion for helping others and delivering exceptional service Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent proofreading and grammar skills (detail-oriented mindset is essential) Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently High level of discretion when handling confidential information Strong organizational skills with consistent follow-through Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes Reliable attendance and a collaborative team approach Technical Qualifications Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe tools Experience with publishing software and SharePoint preferred Typing speed of 60+ WPM Education & Experience Associate's degree in Business or related field preferred (not required) Experience in administrative, customer service, legal, insurance, or hospitality roles is a plus Familiarity with legal documentation or community involvement is beneficial Ideal Backgrounds Candidates with experience in the following areas often excel in this role: Customer Service Executive or Administrative Assistance Legal or Insurance Administration Inside Sales Hospitality or Guest Services Why Join Cook Funeral Home?
