Job Description

Pay Range:
Targeted salary: $23.00 hourly, depending on education and experience
Benefits Eligible:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may include some weekends)

Position Introduction:
The ingredient specialist ensures the quality, safety, and compliance of raw materials used in the production of a finished food product. Works directly with students, faculty, staff and visitors to ensure a knowledgeable and safe dining experience based on self-identified food allergies and sensitivities. They are responsible for accurately logging all selected ingredients, developing specifications, and verifying that these ingredients can be successfully used in production while adhering to food safety and regulatory standards. Responsible for completing specific and detailed administrative duties in support of this position and team, to include updating databases, distributing data electronically and in-person, ordering essential resources and supplies and completing other food services duties in support of the department. Food Handlers Card required within 30-days of hire. ServSafe Manager Certification must be secured within first 12 months of employment. Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. 12 months office, clerical, or administrative experience.
Department Preferences:
Previous experience communicating food safety procedures to patrons, teaching about critical food safety procedures and processes, working as part of a team toward a unified goal. Hiring Contingent Upon a
