Administrative Coordinator Iron Range Golf Performance Sioux Falls, SD Job Details Part-time $35,000 - $40,000 a year 2 days ago Benefits Paid time off Parental leave Employee discount Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Attention to detail Organizational skills Content management Office management Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, organized, and personable Office Administrator to support the daily operations, customer service, scheduling, payments, communication, marketing, and administrative needs of the Iron Range Golf Performance Center. This role requires someone who is willing to help wherever needed to keep the facility running smoothly. Responsibilities may include answering calls and emails, scheduling lessons and simulator time, collecting payments, maintaining records, helping promote leagues and events, supporting social media and website updates, assisting with sponsorship follow-up, and keeping the facility clean, professional, and welcoming. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, friendly, comfortable with basic office systems, and excited to support a growing golf performance and training facility. Key ResponsibilitiesOffice Administration & Daily Operations The Office Administrator will help manage the day-to-day administrative needs of the facility. Duties may include opening and closing the center, answering phones, responding to emails and messages, maintaining schedules, organizing paperwork, updating customer records, tracking registrations, and supporting ownership or management with basic reporting and communication. This person will also help ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and professional. Duties may include light cleaning, vacuuming, restocking supplies, organizing equipment, cleaning hitting bays, and making sure the space is ready for customers, members, students, instructors, and guests. Customer Service & Scheduling The Office Administrator will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, members, students, parents, instructors, and visitors. Responsibilities include greeting guests, answering questions, scheduling lessons, simulator rentals, academy sessions, leagues, tournaments, clinics, camps, private rentals, and other facility programs. This person will help make sure customers receive a professional, friendly, and organized experience from their first point of contact through the completion of their visit or program. Payments & Recordkeeping This role includes collecting payments, processing memberships, tracking lesson fees, league fees, tournament entries, academy registrations, event bookings, and simulator rentals. The Office Administrator will assist with invoices, receipts, customer records, payment tracking, registrations, and basic reporting. Accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail are important parts of this position. Leagues, Tournaments & Events Support The Office Administrator will assist with organizing, promoting, and supporting leagues, tournaments, outings, challenges, clinics, camps, and special events. Responsibilities may include managing sign-ups, communicating schedules, collecting entry fees, posting results, helping coordinate prizes, communicating with participants, and assisting with event-day operations to create a smooth and enjoyable experience. Sales, Marketing & Promotion Support This role will help promote the Golf Performance Center's programs and offerings, including lessons, memberships, simulator rentals, leagues, tournaments, academies, junior programs, clinics, camps, corporate events, and special promotions. Responsibilities may include assisting with email communication, flyers, local outreach, customer follow-up, community partnerships, and helping generate awareness of facility programs. Social Media & Digital Marketing Support The Office Administrator will help maintain and grow the facility's social media presence. This may include posting updates, promoting leagues and tournaments, highlighting academy programs, sharing photos and videos, creating basic content, and helping communicate upcoming programs and events. This person may also assist with social media campaigns for memberships, tournaments, junior programs, academies, clinics, sponsorships, and seasonal offerings. Website Updates & Online Promotion The Office Administrator will assist with keeping the Golf Performance Center website accurate and up to date. This may include updating program information, posting league and tournament details, maintaining schedules, adding event information, highlighting academy offerings, promoting memberships, and helping ensure customers can easily find current information online. Sponsorships & Partnerships Support This role may include helping identify and follow up on sponsorships, partnerships, and local business relationships. This could include league sponsors, tournament sponsors, academy sponsors, signage opportunities, corporate event partnerships, and promotional collaborations. The Office Administrator may assist with sponsor communication, tracking leads, preparing basic materials, and maintaining sponsor records. Academy & Program Support The Office Administrator will help support golf academies, junior programs, clinics, camps, private lessons, group instruction, and performance-based training programs. This includes helping manage registrations, communicating with students and families, coordinating with instructors, tracking schedules, answering questions, and helping create a professional and organized experience for participants. Qualifications The ideal candidate should have strong communication and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks throughout the day. Experience in office administration, customer service, scheduling, hospitality, sports facilities, recreation, fitness, sales, marketing, social media, or event support is preferred. A strong candidate will be comfortable working independently, solving problems, interacting with customers, handling payments, maintaining accurate records, assisting with facility cleanliness, and supporting both daily operations and business growth. Desired Skills Strong customer service and people skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Comfortable answering phones, emails, and customer messages Experience with scheduling, payments, records, and basic office systems Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to take initiative Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment Basic computer skills and comfort with email, calendars, spreadsheets, and booking systems Sales, marketing, or social media experience preferred Ability to help create and promote social media content Comfortable assisting with website updates and online promotion Event, league, tournament, or program support experience helpful Comfortable handling payments and basic administrative tasks Interest in golf, sports, recreation, or customer service preferred Willingness to help with all aspects of the business, big or small Hours & Work Environment This position is expected to average approximately 35 hours per week , including about 30 hours per week on-site at the Golf Performance Center and approximately 5 hours per week off-site . Off-site responsibilities may include answering after-hours emails, responding to customer inquiries, helping with scheduling, creating or scheduling social media content, following up on sponsorship opportunities, updating website information, and completing other administrative or marketing tasks. The Office Administrator should be comfortable working some evenings, weekends, and peak golf season hours as needed. This is a hands-on role in a golf performance and training facility and requires a team-first attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to help wherever needed.
