Job Description

O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable family law and criminal defense law firm to find their next Collections Specialist. This position is based in Chico, CA. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and comfortable communicating with clients regarding outstanding balances. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with professionalism, and experience managing accounts and payment arrangements.
Collections Specialist Compensation:
  • $30 per hour(DOE)

Collections Specialist Qualifications:
  • Previous collections, billing, or accounts receivable experience preferred
  • Experience in a legal office or professional services environment is a plus
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with professionalism
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
  • Proficiency with computers and standard office software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Collections Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Contact clients regarding outstanding balances and past due accounts
  • Work with clients to establish payment plans when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records of account activity, payments, and communication
  • Coordinate with attorneys and office staff regarding client account status
  • Monitor accounts to ensure timely follow-up on unpaid balances
  • Process payments and update financial records as needed
