40.0 Overview This role supports the resolution of credit and collections matters while maintaining positive customer relationships. The position balances account analysis with customer communication to ensure timely payments, accurate records, and minimal disruption to order processing. Responsibilities Contact and/or communicate with customers to resolve credit and collection issues while maintaining positive customer relationships. Make initial contact via telephone or form letters in cases of delinquent accounts. Review customer orders, check current account status, and determine credit availability; release or hold orders accordingly. Accept payments or establish payment schedules as needed. Document all customer inquiries accurately to ensure proper credit data management. Investigate duplicate claims and research lost, misapplied payments, or initiate refunds for overpayments. Generate and submit periodic reports related to credit and collections responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Assist in resolving various customer issues, including non-receipt of products, pricing discrepancies, and return procedures. Requirements Experience in credit and collections or related field preferred; minimum 0 years of experience required. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to review account data and documentation accurately. Proficiency in handling inquiries related to payments, credits, and account statuses. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Computer literacy and familiarity with credit management systems are advantageous.
