Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive collections specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing open and past-due invoices, ensuring the timely collection of payments, and maintaining strong client relationships. This position requires strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach, as you will work closely with the collections manager and in-house legal team when escalations arise.
Responsibilities:
Monitor open and past-due invoices, ensuring timely collection and resolution. Maintain and nurture professional relationships with clients to facilitate smooth collections processes. Review customer accounts to identify open credits, payments, and reconciling balances. Conduct audits of customer accounts to ensure accurate balances are due. Send payment instructions to customers, including credit card payment links for open invoices. Collaborate with the collections manager and in-house legal team on escalated collection issues. Review client accounts to ensure attributes are up to date. Manage Customer Sales Tax Exemptions, entering, updating & auditing forms as needed. Additional tasks as needed. Qualifications Basic accounting knowledge. Microsoft programs and accounting software knowledge/ experience. Customer service experience. Good written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, account analysis, and revenue cycle management. Proficiency with financial software and accounting software used for account reconciliation and reporting. Excellent phone etiquette combined with customer service skills to handle sensitive conversations effectively. Ability to understand complex financial data, perform math calculations accurately, and analyze accounts efficiently.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
