Job Description

Our client in Norwich, Connecticut is seeking a detail-oriented Collections Specialist for a contract opportunity. This role is ideal for a professional with strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and experience managing business-to-business or consumer collections. The Collections Specialist will play a key role in supporting cash flow by following up on outstanding accounts and resolving billing issues in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Contact customers regarding past-due accounts by phone, email, and written correspondenceMonitor aging reports and prioritize collection effortsResearch and resolve account discrepancies, billing issues, and payment disputesMaintain accurate records of collection activity and account statusCollaborate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns and support account reconciliationProcess payments and update account information as neededRecommend accounts for escalation when appropriateSupport month-end reporting related to accounts receivable and collections
