Senior Collections Specialist (Loss Mitigation)

  • 100% Onsite About the Role We are seeking an experienced
  • Senior Collections Specialist
  • to join our Loss Mitigation team.
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact (Single Point of Contact/SPOC) for borrowers, helping them navigate delinquency resolution and home retention or liquidation options. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections, mortgage servicing, and loss mitigation, with excellent customer service and negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers regarding loss mitigation and collections matters.
  • Conduct inbound and outbound collection calls to resolve delinquent accounts.
  • Analyze borrower financial information to determine eligibility for retention and liquidation solutions.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and recommend appropriate loss mitigation options, including forbearance plans, loan modifications, short sales, and deeds in lieu.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of customer interactions and account activity.
  • Resolve complex customer inquiries, disputes, and escalated issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with investor guidelines, company policies, and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Review accounts and documentation to support sound decision-making and recommendations. Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Collections, Loss Mitigation, or Mortgage Servicing
  • Strong knowledge of:
FHA, VA, FNMA
(Fannie Mae), and FHLMC (Freddie Mac) investor guidelines
  • State and Federal Fair Debt Collection laws
  • U.S. Bankruptcy Code, bankruptcy procedures, and regulations
  • Excellent customer service, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred
  • Some college education
  • Previous experience serving as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) within Loss Mitigation Additional Information
  • Two weeks of onsite training provided
  • One phone/video interview (15-20 minutes)
  • Potential for contract extension or permanent hire based on business needs and performance (not guaranteed)
  • Target start date: June 15, 2026 (subject to change)
Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
