Senior Collections Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and professional Collections Specialist to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, resolving delinquent balances, and maintaining positive relationships with our customers. This is an ideal position for someone with 1-3 years of experience in collections or high-volume customer service who enjoys problem-solving and has a knack for persuasive communication.

salary:

$40 - $45 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4

No Degree RequiredResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Portfolio Management:

Monitor assigned accounts to identify overdue payments and prioritize outreach based on delinquency age and balance.

Customer Outreach:

Conduct professional outbound calls and emails to discuss payment status while providing a high level of customer service.

Dispute Resolution:

Identify and resolve billing discrepancies or customer complaints by collaborating with the Billing and Sales departments.

Documentation:

Maintain meticulous records of all collection activities, payment promises, and customer interactions in our systems.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

1-3 years in Collections, Accounts Receivable, or a fast-paced Customer Service role (Call Center experience is a plus).

Communication:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm and professional during difficult conversations.

Organization:

High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus. Education High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is a plus.
