At Saval, we believe that we have a responsibility to give back and support our local community through philanthropic initiatives and partnerships with local nonprofits and trade organizations. In 2020 alone, Saval Foodservice worked to distribute and donate over 15,000 boxes of food goods in partnership with Johns Hopkins. One of our most successful Saval Cares Initiatives is our annual charity golf tournament that has raised over $500,000 for the Children's Cancer Foundation since its inception over 19 years ago. We're a proud allied member of the Restaurant Association of Maryland, the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington, UniPro Buying Group, and the International Association of Foodservice Distributors. Must have good organizational skills, can manage and prioritize multiple tasks/situations simultaneously, while maintaining a can-do attitude. Key Responsibilities 1. Manage creditworthiness of customers, which includes analyzing the financial health of existing and potential customers. 2. Maintaining credit policy adherence. Work with sales team to minimize risk in conjunction with supporting sales goals. 3. Work with the sales and finance teams during the approval of credit applications. 4. Assist in the debt recovery process by helping contact past-due customers through all forms of communication. Assist in negotiating payment terms, settlements, and payment plans. 5. Collaborate with customers and the sales teams to resolve disputes regarding outstanding balances while still enforcing payment terms and avoid overextending credit. 6. Generate and analyze aging reports to identify at-risk accounts. Provide management with regular updates. 7. Collaborate with sales to understand customer relationships and how credit limits and payment terms can impact retention and sales growth. Key Skills 1. Ability to analyze financial statements, customer credit histories and network with external sources to access risk and potential issues. 2. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 3. Strong ability to resolve payment disputes that benefit the company and still maintain customer satisfaction. 4. Good industry knowledge 5. Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks. 6. Good Excel skills. 7. Strong negotiation skills. eeo/m/f/v/d
