Consolidated Equipment Group, LLC is a leading manufacturer of skid steer and compact tractor attachments and has been designing, building, and selling quality equipment for over 68 years. We are currently seeking a full-time Credit & Collections Specialist at one of our locations. The Credit & Collections Specialist is responsible for monitoring accounts receivable and evaluating credit across all CEG business units, overseeing credit underwriting efforts, and minimizing the company's financial exposure. This role covers all CEG business units and requires close collaboration with customers, sales, operations, and administrative teams. Key responsibilities include obtaining, maintaining, and analyzing credit applications and security agreements; establishing and monitoring credit limits; managing accounts receivable; publishing regular AR aging reports; and leading AR review meetings as needed. This position reports to the Controller / CFO.
Key Performance Areas:
Unless otherwise noted, all responsibilities below apply across all CEG business units. Monitor accounts receivable and evaluate credit to ensure consistent credit standards and minimize financial exposure company-wide. Analyze new customer accounts to establish appropriate credit limits and maximize sales opportunities. Establish and maintain credit facilities for all business units, ensuring credit files are current, complete, and compliant with company policy. Work with Sales and Customer Service to gather supporting information and determine customer creditworthiness. Evaluate financial capacity of customers and seek additional security when warranted; recommend payment up-front, "Prepay" terms, or other risk-mitigation strategies for credit extension. Proactively pursue collection of past due receivables through phone, email, and written correspondence; escalate accounts as appropriate. Monitor and manage outside flooring relationships and retail customer credit lines, including processing approvals. Monitor orders for customers that do not have established credit terms to ensure payment is collected prior to shipping product. Partner with Sales and Management to evaluate credit risk and expand credit facilities to support anticipated revenue growth across business units. Publish regular AR aging status reports summarizing receivables performance by business unit; distribute to controllers, CFO, and relevant stakeholders on a defined cadence (weekly/monthly). Lead AR status review meetings as needed; present aging summaries, highlight at-risk accounts, and drive action plans to resolution. Approve or deny credit to existing customers by analyzing account status, payment history, and financial condition; review and adjudicate new credit applications. Serve as the primary contact for third-party financing options; cultivate and manage relationships with external financing partners to provide flexible customer payment solutions. Minimize legal expense by escalating delinquent accounts to outside counsel when necessary; coordinate collection efforts to maximize recoveries on bad debt. Develop and maintain credit policies and procedures; recommend updates to credit standards based on portfolio performance trends and changing market conditions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records, documentation, and correspondence in compliance with company record retention policies. Support and conform to Quality Management System requirements as defined by CEG and
ISO 9001
2015.

Self-starter; able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to navigate multiple ERP systems; experience with Syspro, Global Shop, and JobBoss2 is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or accounting software a plus.
Compensation:
$23
  • 30 per hour.
Final pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
