Job Description

Neuropax Clinic Revenue Cycle Management Team Member•
Focus:
Collections STL Plastic & Hand Surgery, Inc d/b/a Neuropax Clinic is adding a full-time position to work with our RCM team focusing on collections. Neuropax Clinic is a privately-owned leader for Chronic Nerve Pain Surgery following operations, accidents and injury. We diagnose and treat patients suffering from nerve compression, post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN), abdominal cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome (ACNES), diabetic neuropathy (DN), migraine / occipital neuralgia, and chronic pain after falls, car accidents, and surgery. We are seeking a motivated, energetic, positive, focused and detailed individual to join our team. Primary Responsibilities for RCM/ Collections Collection Responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Insurance Payor and Patient contact
  • Proactively reaching out to Insurance Payors and patients to diligently work outstanding balances while leveraging all available communication options: phone, mail, fax and email.
  • Account monitoring
  • Regularly reviewing accounts to identify overdue balances and prioritize collection efforts based on aging criteria.
  • Debt collection escalation
  • Following established protocols to escalate delinquent accounts to appropriate collection agencies.
  • Dispute resolution
  • Investigating and resolving billing disputes with patients and insurance companies, including working with coders and Providers to address coding errors or claim rejections.
  • Reporting and analysis
  • Generating reports on collection performance metrics, identifying trends, and proposing strategies to improve collection rates.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
General responsibilities include:
  • Working directly with RCM team members, Practice manager and clinical staff on collections, appeals, and denials from insurance payors
  • Preparing reports as requested
  • Supporting the Practice with non-clinical administrative needs specific to data entry of lien information and as required on an exception basis Qualifications Requirements
  • Commitment to a high level of customer service
  • Solid basic mathematical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Able to work independently and with a team
  • Focus on details, accuracy and timeliness Helpful but not required:
  • Experience working with electronic medical record systems (Neuropax uses the Athena system)
  • Working knowledge of medical jargon and anatomy
  • Experience working on a revenue cycle management team and specifically in collections __________________________________________________________________________________ Compensation will be commensurate based on experience and qualifications.
The position is paid at an hourly rate with full-time (40 hours/week) work and is eligible for benefits, including healthcare and other benefits provided to full-time employees.
