Job Description

BASIC J BASIC JOB SUMMARY
The main purpose of this job is to provide support to the Senior Director of Accounting by collecting the overdue Account Receivable balances of TEC. This position will also support the billing department with payment processing and analysis.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The essential job functions and duties described below may not be the only requirements of the position. It may be necessary to follow other instructions or perform other related duties required by the company. Monitors, manages, and collects delinquent customer account balances Monitors inactive accounts and sends out final notices Communicates delinquencies to customers Submits tickets to billing department for non-payments and restores services when payment is made Processes check by phone and credit card payments on delinquent customer accounts Maintains bankruptcy records and files bankruptcy claims
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist the billing department with other functions as needed Any other duties that may be assigned
Job Qualifications:
Education/Experience - High school diploma or GED is required. A college degree in an accounting or business-related field is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of proven equivalent accounting or billing experience is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - This position requires excellent computer, organizational, and clerical skills including keyboard proficiency as well as efficient, professional written and verbal communication skills. Advanced knowledge and ability to work with TEC's operation systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations are required. The person in this position must possess the ability to multi-task and must be detail oriented.
