Collections Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in Cary, North Carolina. This long-term contract position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage accounts receivable, reduce outstanding balances, and contribute to cash flow optimization. Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely payment of invoices and reducing overdue balances.
• Implement strategies to improve collections performance and minimize the aging of accounts receivable.
• Review aging reports regularly to identify trends, risks, and priority accounts requiring immediate attention.
• Investigate and resolve payment delays, billing disputes, and discrepancies by coordinating with internal departments.
• Maintain detailed documentation of collection efforts, customer interactions, and resolution outcomes.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports highlighting collections performance, cash receipts, and aging trends.
• Recommend improvements to collections policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop standardized collections processes and documentation to support team operations and future system enhancements.
• Collaborate on finance initiatives aimed at optimizing cash flow and refining accounts receivable processes.
