Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in managing and resolving outstanding accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in commercial and consumer collections.

Responsibilities:

• Contact clients to follow up on overdue payments and resolve outstanding balances.
• Analyze account histories to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address billing issues and streamline collection processes.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and update account information regularly.
• Negotiate payment plans with customers to ensure compliance and satisfaction.
• Monitor aging accounts and prioritize collection efforts based on risk levels.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations during collection activities.
• Provide regular reports on collection performance and account statuses to management.
• Develop strategies to improve collection rates and minimize account delinquencies.
• Handle escalated collection cases with professionalism and efficiency. Requirements
• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.
• Strong knowledge of credit and billing collection processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in analyzing account data and resolving discrepancies.
• Familiarity with legal guidelines related to collections.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize workload effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in collections operations.
