Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will focus on managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely payment collection from commercial accounts. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to handle financial processes effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment collection.
- Conduct outreach to commercial and consumer clients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements.
- Analyze account statements to identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues promptly.
- Implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and payment statuses in compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address credit-related concerns and streamline collection efforts.
- Prepare regular reports detailing collection activities and account statuses for management review.
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements throughout the collection process.
- Monitor and update systems with payment information to maintain accurate financial records. Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections, with a solid understanding of collection processes.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable management and billing collection procedures.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interactions and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial data and resolving account discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory compliance in credit and collections.
- Experience using collection software and systems to track account activity.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
